The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
He will respond to the prayer of the destitute;he will not despise their plea.
And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and believing, you will receive.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.
